I am an independent photographer and filmmaker based in Georgia. Years ago, photography was just a hobby in my life, then, living in a very diverse and motivating surroundings, pushed me into the world of professional photography.
In 2013, I was so lucky to have famous Polish photographer Justyna Mielnikiewicz, MAGNUM photographer Thomas Dworzak and Nestan Nizharadze, Art Director of Tbilisi International Photo Festival as my tutors; together we have completed one year course in photojournalism with the documentary work of mine – “Strike of KAZRETI-SAKDRISI Miners”, exhibited at Tbilisi International Photo Festival, in 2014.
In 2015, my works were selected up by GETTY Images team and placed for sale, since then I am a contributor photographer for Getty Images.
Besides, I had also great chance to work with National Geographic Georgia and UN Women on social, gender and family violence issues, giving me large scale of experience in these fields.
After graduating from Theatre and Film Georgian State University, majoring in TV and Film Directing, also Production Management Crash course with Rebecca Rivo, I made several short documentary films and for one year, I cooperated with the NGO Chai-Khana in making monthly social documentary films.
